Meet the Founder: Cornelis Versluis 

I’ve spent over 30 years in leadership roles at global companies like Grundfos and LEGO Group, where I combined strategy, operations, and sustainability to drive real change. My career has taken me across the world, from Denmark to the Czech Republic and Mexico, where I led manufacturing plants, optimized operations, and integrated sustainable practices into large-scale production.

But my passion for sustainability isn’t just professional—it’s personal.

As an avid scuba diver, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the underwater world, witnessing its beauty but also its fragility. Climate change isn’t an abstract issue when you see firsthand how coral reefs are bleaching, marine life is disappearing, and ocean conditions are changing rapidly. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to making an impact on the global climate agenda—through consulting, lectures, and presentations—helping companies not just talk about sustainability, but take real, measurable action.

Now, through CAV Consult, I bring this experience to businesses looking to accelerate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) journey. Using the same maturity assessment methodology I successfully applied at Whitebox, I help companies identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities—building the capabilities needed to drive long-term, sustainable change.

Beyond my professional work, I’m also active in the Marine Force Protection unit of the Danish Home Guard, protecting the waters that mean so much to me.
